Format a hard drive partition and mount it

Example is using ext3, but other file systems such as ext4 work the same way.

mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb1
mkdir /mnt/mydisk
mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/mydisk

(Assuming partition is located at /dev/sdb1)
