Say that you have multiple log files for Nginx, Apache or any other software that you would like to tail. You can do this easily with
tail like so:
tail -f /var/log/nginx/*.log
tail -f /var/log/apache2/*.log
You need to have a fairly recent version of
tail to use this. It works on Ubuntu 16.04 with
tail version 8.25.
Start with a base Ubuntu 14.04 install, and then run:
curl -sL rt.cx/ee | sudo bash # install easy-engine
source /etc/bash_completion.d/ee # code completion in CLI
apt-get install memcached php5-memcached # install memcached and memcached php bridge (optionally also install php5-memcache)
ee system install # install nginx, php, mysql, postfix
ee site create example.com --wp # install wordpress on example.com
That’s really all you need to do!
…and restart nginx. If you have “service” package this is done with
service nginx restart
